We have always been here. This is not simply a statement of a philosophy but a biological surety. When a human embryo is conceived the body produces a hormone flow that determines the physical gender of the child. However, that is not the end of the story. Dr. Joshua Safire is only one of the doctors whose research has proved that subsequent hormone flows can account for much of the differences between individual people. If, for example, the embryo is flooded with estrogen first and after 4 to 6 weeks by testosterone, the child will be biologically female but have a male brain. These are natural forces that are common to all humans. That means that every child ever born to human parents will have a chance of being transgender, from the very start.
It is not surprising therefore that we can trace the birth
of transgender children throughout time and in every continent. It is incorrect
for anyone who does not completely reject science or evolution to insist that
being transgender is not normal. The fact is that there have always been
transgender people in our pet population.
The individuals in this blog and in the booklet to follow
our people who have demonstrated in some way and allegiance to and
identification with member of the opposite gender than they were born. This
cannot be a complete list by any means. Even to include the people that I
referred to as transgender means that many people who simply dressed as the
opposite sex will not be included unless there was some indication in my estimation
that they truly identified as the opposite sex.
This is a work in progress. As I learn about more
transgender people in history, I will write about them.
I owe some of this information to a website called a gender variant Who’s Who at http://zagria.blogspot.com/p/index.html#.V6znQU0rK_4 , which is the phenomenal work of a woman named Zagria. I have not used anything other than the person’s name and basic factual information from her site, and therefore it is not a copyright infringement.
